Iraq and Oman Draw in Thrilling Gulf Cup Opener

Al-Taj News – Iraq and Oman drew 1-1 on Wednesday in the opening match of the 27th edition of the Gulf Cup football tournament, held in the Saudi city of Jeddah and running until October 6.

The match was held at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium as part of the first-round fixtures of Group A of the tournament.

Iraq took an early lead through Mohammed Qasim Majid in the 6th minute, while Nasser Sultan Al-Rawahi equalized for Oman in the 66th minute.
