
Al-Taj News – Real Madrid defeated their hosts Elche 3-2 on Tuesday in the sixth round of the Spanish Football League.
The match was intense and thrilling, with Real Madrid taking a two-goal lead through Elche goalkeeper Matías Dituro, who accidentally scored an own goal in the 25th minute, before Kylian Mbappé added the second goal for the Spanish giants in the 33rd minute.
In the 71st minute, Elche forward Abiel Osorio narrowed the deficit by scoring his team’s first goal, before Fernando Niño equalized for the hosts by scoring their second goal in the 83rd minute.
After everyone thought the match was heading for a draw, Mbappé surged down the left side and delivered a superb low cross to the advancing Carlos Espé, who calmly put the ball into the net to score Real Madrid’s third goal in the 90+1st minute.
Real Madrid’s tally thus rose to 15 points in second place, while Elche remained on two points in last place.
