Civil Defense: Specialized Paramedic Officer Available 24/7 via 911

Al-Taj News – The Civil Defense Directorate confirmed that a specialized paramedic officer is available around the clock at the Operations and Control Directorate through the unified emergency number 911, to provide medical guidance to citizens until ambulance teams arrive at the reported location.

Civil Defense Media Officer Captain Abdullah Al-Saudi said that telephone guidance focuses particularly on cases requiring immediate first-aid intervention, including airway obstruction, choking, and cases of choking among children, noting that the response time of ambulance teams usually ranges between 7 and 9 minutes, depending on the location and circumstances of the report.

He explained that Civil Defense personnel have continued to deal with various medical emergencies, firefighting incidents, and rescue operations across the Kingdom, handling 1,590 medical cases, 138 firefighting incidents, and 110 rescue incidents over the past hours.

Al-Saudi noted that Civil Defense teams extinguished a fire that broke out on the second floor of a seven-story building in the Al-Jubeiha area of the capital and prevented it from spreading to neighboring apartments, with no injuries or loss of life reported.

He called for providing portable fire extinguishers inside vehicles, homes, and commercial and industrial facilities, particularly in light of the number of vehicle fires recorded recently.
