Graduation of the Second Batch of National Service Conscripts at Shweir Center

Al-Taj News – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Majdi Mohammad Al-Harasiss, on Tuesday presided over the graduation ceremony of the second batch of national service conscripts at the National Service Center/Shweir, in the presence of a number of senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army and the graduates’ families.

The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Those present remembered the national service conscripts who died in the traffic accident involving the bus that was carrying them while they were returning to their places of residence, praying to Almighty God to envelop them in His vast mercy and grant them spacious Paradise, and to grant their families and colleagues patience and solace, and to bless the injured with a speedy recovery.

The Director of the Mobilization and People’s Army Department affirmed that the graduation of the second batch of national service conscripts marks the culmination of an integrated training phase, during which the conscripts received programs covering military training, awareness, and life skills, contributing to enhancing their capabilities, developing their personalities, and fostering a spirit of discipline, teamwork, and responsibility.

The ceremony included a review of the conscripts’ formation in front of the podium in regular marching formation, along with demonstrations of hand-to-hand combat and silent infantry drills, as well as military exercises and activities that reflected the level of training the conscripts had attained during their period of service.

The national service program comes within the framework of a national approach targeting Jordanian youth, under the directives of His Majesty the King and with the attention and care of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, with the aim of preparing young people and developing their skills and capabilities, strengthening the values of belonging and loyalty to the homeland and its Hashemite leadership, and instilling the principles of discipline, commitment, teamwork, and self-reliance.
