Jordanian Insurance Federation Follows Up on Jordanians’ Rights in Egyptian Bus Accident
Al-Taj News – The Jordanian Federation of Insurance Companies confirmed that it is following up on the conditions of those injured and the rights of the families of those who died in the tragic traffic accident involving an Egyptian bus carrying Jordanian and Egyptian citizens, and is working to expedite the procedures for the due compensation.
The federation conducted communications and follow-ups at the highest administrative levels with the Federation of Egyptian Insurance Companies and the Egyptian Compulsory Motor Insurance Pool, with the aim of determining the insurance coverage, procedures, and necessary requirements, facilitating the opening and completion of claims files, and expediting the payment of due compensation to the injured and the families of the deceased in accordance with the provisions of the compulsory insurance policy issued by the Egyptian Compulsory Motor Insurance Pool.
It explained that its efforts are focused on following up on the conditions of those injured, providing the necessary information and guidance to the families of the deceased and injured, identifying the documents required for each case, clarifying the mechanisms for submitting notifications and documents, and addressing any difficulties that may delay the completion of claims, in a manner that ensures the rights of those affected are preserved and that compensation reaches those entitled to it as quickly as possible and with the fewest procedures.
The Jordanian Federation of Insurance Companies commended the efforts of the Egyptian official, security, and traffic authorities, the regulatory bodies overseeing the insurance sector, the Federation of Egyptian Insurance Companies, the Egyptian Compulsory Motor Insurance Pool, and medical personnel in dealing with the accident and providing the necessary care to those injured. It also expressed its appreciation to the brotherly Egyptian people for the attention and support they demonstrated under these painful circumstances.
The bus was heading from Cairo to the city of Dahab, and from there to Nuweiba in South Sinai Governorate, when it was involved in the accident, which resulted in the deaths of 22 Jordanians and Egyptians and injuries to 28 others who are receiving treatment in Egyptian hospitals.
