Association of Banks: Jordanian Banks’ Assets Exceed $100 Billion

Al-Taj News – Director General of the Association of Banks in Jordan, Maher Al-Mahrouq, said that the assets of Jordanian banks have exceeded $100 billion, according to the association’s latest data.

Al-Mahrouq added that the volume of credit facilities exceeded 37 billion dinars, while deposits held by banks reached 50 billion dinars.

He noted that the financial safety and stability indicators of the Jordanian banking sector are very high in terms of statutory liquidity, while all non-performing loan indicators remain at low levels that are acceptable by global standards.

Al-Mahrouq stressed that these figures demonstrate the strength, resilience, and stability of the Jordanian economy despite all the circumstances surrounding the region and their repercussions for Jordan.
