Armed Forces: 10 of 13 Missiles That Entered Airspace Intercepted and Destroyed

Al-Taj News – The official spokesperson for the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army stated that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan came under a missile attack during the past few hours originating from Iranian territory.

He confirmed that Jordanian air defense systems engaged 13 ballistic missiles that entered the Kingdom’s airspace and managed to intercept and destroy 10 of them, while 3 missiles fell in remote areas far from population centers.

The official spokesperson explained that the attack was dealt with in accordance with approved operational procedures, and that no injuries or loss of life were recorded. Specialized teams began dealing with the sites where falling objects landed and securing them, and taking the necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens.

The Armed Forces urged citizens not to approach any unidentified objects or falling debris, and not to touch or move them, and to immediately notify the relevant authorities upon finding them. It also called on citizens to avoid circulating unverified information and to rely on statements issued by official authorities.

The Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army affirmed that its units and formations continue to carry out their duties around the clock, and that surveillance and air defense systems are on alert and ready to deal with any threat, in a manner that safeguards the Kingdom’s security, the safety of its citizens, and the sovereignty of its airspace.
