Atlético Madrid Takes New Step Regarding Julián Álvarez’s Future

Al-Taj News – Press reports revealed that Atlético Madrid has taken an important step regarding the future of Argentine player Julián Álvarez, a member of the club’s first football team.

Atlético Madrid had previously settled its position in an official statement, confirming that Álvarez will not be sold to Barcelona and that this is a final decision.

Julián Álvarez is considered the biggest headache for everyone following the 2026-2027 transfer market due to the ongoing battle between Barcelona and Atlético Madrid over his signing, while Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Arsenal have also entered the race.

Atlético Madrid’s position is not to sell Álvarez to any Spanish club unless an offer worth €500 million is submitted, which is the release clause in the Argentine’s contract.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who is reliable in transfer and signing news, Atlético Madrid has made its first offer to sign Jonathan David.

He reported that Atlético Madrid has reached an agreement with Juventus to sign the Canadian striker on loan with an option to buy.

He added that David wants to join Los Rojiblancos, while Juventus wants to secure the player’s replacement first.
