Chief of Joint Staff Chairs Armed Forces Celebration Marking the Prophet’s Birthday

Al-Taj News – Chief of Joint Staff Major General Yousef Ahmad Al-Huneiti on Sunday presided over the Jordanian Armed Forces–Arab Army General Command’s celebration marking the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, in the presence of a number of senior Jordanian Armed Forces officers.

In a speech delivered during the celebration, the Jordanian Armed Forces Mufti affirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces–Arab Army bases its doctrine on the principles of the noble Islamic faith and derives its approach from the Hashemite heritage founded on moderation and balance, and on consolidating the values of serving the nation and humanity.

He said that commemorating the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday embodies the lofty spiritual and humanitarian meanings and values carried by this blessed occasion, reinforces Islamic identity and faith, and recalls the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, what he offered humanity in terms of guidance and mercy, and the values of justice, wisdom and virtuous morals that he embodied.

He noted that this anniversary represents a spiritual occasion to recall the life of the Noble Prophet ﷺ and the example he set in leadership based on faith, wisdom, discipline and responsibility, explaining that drawing inspiration from these values strengthens the spirit of responsibility and belonging and supports the continued fulfillment by the Jordanian Armed Forces of their national duty to defend the homeland and safeguard its security and stability.

He affirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to fulfill their national mission, drawing from the Hashemite approach the values of giving, nation-building, and serving the homeland and humanity, while remaining committed to their deeply rooted national and doctrinal principles.

At the conclusion of his speech, he called for drawing inspiration from the noble Prophetic biography in consolidating the values of faith, moderation, mercy and justice, and strengthening the meanings of belonging and responsibility in a way that contributes to serving the homeland and preserving its security and stability.

The celebration included a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, religious hymns and praises of the Prophet performed by a number of imams from the Military Ifta Directorate, in addition to a film presentation addressing aspects of the noble Prophetic biography.
