Warning Issued Over Fraudulent Messages Impersonating Greater Amman Municipality

Al-Taj News – The National Cyber Security Center warned citizens against interacting with fraudulent text messages sent to their phones that impersonate the “Greater Amman Municipality.”

The Center explained that these fake messages claim that citizens have outstanding financial fines requiring immediate payment, and contain fake electronic links intended to hack personal data or steal money.

The Center stressed the need to exercise caution, calling on citizens not to click on any link included in such messages before fully verifying its authenticity and directly confirming that it belongs to the official website of the Greater Amman Municipality.
