Northern Military Region Foils Attempted Infiltration by Two Individuals

The Northern Military Region foiled an attempted infiltration by two individuals on Wednesday evening through one of the border fronts, after Border Guard Forces detected them while they were attempting to cross the border illegally.

The forces immediately responded to the situation in accordance with the applicable rules of engagement and managed to apprehend the infiltrators without allowing them to cross the border. They were then referred to the relevant authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.

The Jordan Armed Forces confirmed that Border Guard units continue to perform their duties with vigilance and resolve as part of their responsibility to protect the Kingdom’s borders, safeguard its sovereignty, and counter any attempts at infiltration or illegal activities that could threaten the country’s security and stability.

The operation comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen border security and prevent any suspicious movements, ensuring the safety of the Kingdom and maintaining security in border areas.
