470 Young Men and Women from Aqaba Sign Employment Contracts with 23 Companies

Al-Taj News – A total of 470 young men and women from Aqaba signed employment contracts with 23 private-sector companies and institutions in the city, at the conclusion of the “From Opportunity to Employment” initiative implemented by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority over a period of about three months.

The initiative was launched to qualify job seekers and align their skills with the needs of the labor market, through direct coordination between participants and private-sector companies, leading to direct employment.

Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority Shadi Ramzi Al-Majali, in the presence of Aqaba Governor Ayman Al-Awaysheh, members of the Board of Commissioners, and representatives of the public and private sectors, said that the signing of the contracts represents a tangible outcome of an effective partnership with 23 private-sector companies.

He explained that the initiative began by identifying companies’ needs, then qualifying participants and aligning their skills with those needs, and concluded with direct employment, noting that this model can be built upon and further developed.

Al-Majali added that building employment pathways based on the actual needs of the market leads to direct and measurable job opportunities, stressing that the authority will continue to strengthen its partnership with the private sector and expand employment pathways.
