Al-Taj News – The Yemeni Armed Forces announced the launch of the “battle for liberation, completion of the restoration of state institutions, and ending the coup.” In a statement issued Sunday, the official spokesman for the Armed Forces, Colonel Staff Majid Abdullah Al-Nazili, said that the battle aims to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and enable Yemenis to exercise their right to a homeland “in which sovereignty belongs only to the people, and authority belongs only to the constitution and the rule of law.”
Coalition Force
The Yemeni Armed Forces said in its statement that the “national battle” represents a bridge to return Yemen to its “Arab embrace,” pointing to advancing “with steadfastness and determination” toward Houthi strongholds.
The Armed Forces also commended the positions of the “brothers” from the countries of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, stressing that the homeland “is spacious enough for all its sons returning to the right path,” while calling on those it described as “the deceived” to distance themselves from the fighting.
Al-Alimi’s Announcement
The Armed Forces’ statement came hours after Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi announced the launch of military operations to restore what remains of the Republic’s territory and extend the authority of the state and its institutions over the entire national territory, stressing the transition from the stage of preparation and readiness to the stage of military action.
