Sources Deny to Al-Taj: No Decision to Raise Allowances for Children of Diplomats to 8,500 Dinars

Informed sources denied to “Al-Taj” the validity of reports circulating about a decision issued by Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan to raise the allowances for students who are children of Jordanian diplomats abroad from 400 dinars to 8,500 dinars.

The sources confirmed that there is no decision issued by the Cabinet or the Prime Minister regarding amending or increasing the ceiling of the educational allowance allocated to the children of Jordanian diplomats abroad.

They explained that financial spending related to education is subject to the provisions of the education allowance stipulated in Article (35) of the effective Jordanian Diplomatic Corps System, in accordance with the applicable frameworks and regulations.

The sources stressed that the reports circulating about raising the allowances to 8,500 dinars are not based on an official decision issued by the Cabinet or the Prime Minister.
