Al-Taj News – Reuters reported Saturday that a cloud of smoke and flames was rising near an Aramco facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The agency quoted an eyewitness as saying that he saw a large cloud of smoke and flames rising in the vicinity of a facility belonging to Saudi Aramco in Riyadh on Saturday.
This comes amid escalating hostilities between Saudi Arabia and the Iran-aligned Houthi group, as the group has intensified its attacks on cities and energy facilities in the Kingdom.
No party has yet claimed responsibility for Saturday’s fire, according to the agency.
The Houthis said last week that they had targeted Saudi Aramco facilities in Yanbu with missiles and drones.
Saudi Arabia said at the time that it had intercepted six ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis toward Taif and Yanbu, but did not mention any damage to Aramco facilities.
