Al-Taj News – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia on Sunday of targeting energy facilities in Ukraine after the sudden announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump of a ceasefire agreement reached between Kyiv and Moscow.
Zelensky said on Facebook, following a conversation with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, “The Russians struck a power plant in Kyiv, and later, strikes targeted energy facilities in the Kharkiv region. All of this happened after the U.S. president made his statement regarding a ceasefire in the energy sector.”
Shortly afterward, he reported a strike targeting the “CHP-5” power plant in the city of Kharkiv (eastern Ukraine), adding that “the Ukrainian skies were filled with Russian Shahed drones throughout the day,” referring to Iranian-designed drones.
