Al-Taj News – French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu accused the radical left on Tuesday of seeking to cause chaos ahead of the presidential election, whose first round is being held in April, through escalating student protests.
Lecornu said during a government questioning session in the National Assembly, “The truth is that you deal with violence with a degree of ambiguity, because violence is part of your political project aimed at plunging the country into chaos from now until the presidential election.”
He added, “Sowing chaos as you have been doing since the beginning of the high school student movement is disgraceful, and we will not allow you to do so,” in response to a sharp attack launched against him by Mathilde Panot, head of the parliamentary group of the radical left-wing “La France Insoumise” party.
