American Actor RJ Mitte, Star of “Breaking Bad,” Dies at 34

Al-Taj News – American actor RJ Mitte, known for his role in the series “Breaking Bad,” in which he portrayed Walter White Jr., the rebellious son of Walter White, one of the series’ most prominent characters, has died at the age of 34.

Sean Riley, the late actor’s representative, told the BBC: “It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the tragic passing of the beloved, kind, and passionate disability rights advocate, RJ Mitte.”

Mitte died in the city of Brownsville, Texas, in the United States, with the cause of death not immediately announced.

Mitte, who lived with cerebral palsy, drew on his personal experience to portray Walter White Jr. in the Emmy Award-winning drama series, which starred Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul. In 2014, he received an award from the Screen Actors Guild in recognition of his work on the series.

In a statement to the BBC, Riley said that Mitte brought authenticity to the character and was able, through his role, to build a platform for raising awareness of disability issues and promoting inclusion.

According to Riley, Mitte served as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s hospitals. He also founded the Mitte Foundation to support charitable efforts and community initiatives, using his profile to challenge stereotypes and promote the representation of people with disabilities.
