Katie Zakaria’s First Comment After Trump Fired Her

Al-Taj News – Katie Zakaria, the former White House spokesperson, said on Saturday that working for U.S. President Donald Trump had been “an honor,” in her first statement since being relieved of her position.

Zakaria wrote on the platform X, accompanying her post with a photo of herself with Trump in the Oval Office: “President Trump is a good, wonderful, generous, considerate, enthusiastic, and hardworking man. I wish more Americans appreciated him. No one will ever be able to make America great in the way he has, and continues to do. It was an honor to work for him.”

During a brief press briefing she held on Tuesday, Zakaria told reporters that she had long aspired to work with Trump. It is worth noting that her tenure in the position did not exceed five days.

Following Zakaria’s dismissal, Trump said he had encouraged her to reconsider continuing in the job, explaining that he had told her: “Honestly, if I were you, I would reconsider it. Katie, do you need this? I don’t think you need it.”
