Al-Taj News – U.S. President Donald Trump said he had learned of an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, adding that he would make a decision regarding it.
In response to a question about the attacks on Iran, Trump said, “We’ll look into it over the next few days.”
The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced the temporary suspension of operations at the airport following an attack targeting it. The authority noted that damage had been detected and was being assessed, adding that the suspension would remain in effect until the situation had been fully evaluated and safety verified in coordination with the relevant authorities.
A medical source told Agence France-Presse that dozens of people had been injured in the incident, at least five of them in intensive care. Meanwhile, a diplomatic source said that a missile launched by Iran-backed Houthi forces in Yemen had struck the airport, although Saudi officials had not officially confirmed the circumstances of the incident.
