Al-Momani: Artificial Intelligence Is an Assisting Tool, and the Journalist Is the Foundation of Media Work

Al-Taj News – Government Communication Minister Mohammad Al-Momani affirmed on Saturday that the journalist remains the foundation of media work, given the credibility, trust, and ability to verify information in the field that the journalist enjoys, stressing that artificial intelligence represents an assisting tool for the journalist and not a substitute for them.

This came during his patronage of the opening of the Future of Media and Communication Forum, which is being held in Amman, where he affirmed the importance of verifying information and obtaining news from its sources, in a manner that enhances the credibility of media work and the public’s trust in it, amid the rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies.

Al-Momani stressed the responsibility of official entities to provide content and information with sufficient speed, explaining that truth has its own timing, and therefore what is required is sufficient speed, not speed alone.
