Trump: Iran War Will End Soon One Way or Another

Al-Taj News – U.S. President Donald Trump said that the conflict with Iran “will end soon one way or another,” expecting the war to end quickly and oil prices to decline.

Trump added that Iran is now in a difficult position, and that it “will never have a nuclear weapon,” adding that the United States achieved victory in the war with regard to preventing Tehran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

Trump’s statements come at a time when Washington remains committed to preventing Iran from possessing a nuclear weapon, while disagreements over its uranium enrichment program are still ongoing.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that his country is determined to defend itself, and is serious about the diplomatic path in a way that ensures its interests and national security.

Tehran insists on its right to enrich uranium, while Washington is demanding a “substantial” reduction in its enrichment capability, according to U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance.

Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Iran has “completely lost control” of the strait, noting that the flow of oil through it has approached pre-war levels.

Tehran responded to that, as a commander in Iran’s Basij Forces, Hossein Taeb, said that the Strait of Hormuz “was and will remain Iranian,” and that the United States cannot impose its will on it.

Tensions continued regarding navigation in the strait, with an Iranian official announcing that Tehran intends to close what it describes as “illegal passages,” at a time when the movement of oil and gas tankers is still affected by the repercussions of the war.

In parallel with military pressure, Washington expanded its sanctions on the Iranian economy to include sectors, companies, and supply chains, in an attempt to increase pressure on Tehran.
