Oman Carries Out Medical Evacuation of Oil Tanker Crew Members

Al-Taj News – India said Tuesday that the Sultanate of Oman carried out a medical evacuation for members of the crew of the Panama-flagged oil tanker (On Pace), after it came under attack near the Sultanate.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that 12 crew members were injured, including 11 Indian nationals, after the tanker was struck by a projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, noting that the vessel’s total crew consists of 19 people, including 17 Indians.

India condemned the attack on the vessel, affirming that the continuation of attacks on maritime navigation in the region remains a source of grave concern for it, and renewing its call for an immediate cessation of such attacks in the interest of peace and stability in the region.
