Al-Taj News – The UAE national team secured a place in the Gulf Cup “Gulf 27” final after defeating Oman 1-0, setting up a title clash with the Saudi national team in Jeddah.
The UAE “Whites” owe their victory to Ousmane Camara, who scored the only goal of the match in the 22nd minute after rising to meet a cross and heading it into the net.
The UAE team missed an opportunity to extend its lead in the 56th minute after Oman’s goalkeeper Ibrahim Al-Mukhaini saved a penalty taken by Nicolas Gimenez.
The “Greens” also advanced at the expense of Qatar after winning 4-3 on penalties, following a goalless draw at the end of regulation and extra time.
