UAE Attorney General: Flydubai Co-Pilot Began Carrying Out a Terrorist Operation

Al-Taj News – UAE Attorney General Hamad Saif Al-Shamsi announced Saturday that investigations into the Flydubai flight incident revealed that the co-pilot had begun carrying out a terrorist operation.

Al-Shamsi explained that the co-pilot began implementing his plan during the flight, assaulting the pilot inside the cockpit using an “emergency axe” and attempting to take control of the aircraft’s controls.

He confirmed that investigations are still underway to uncover all circumstances surrounding the incident, its motives and the connections associated with it, in addition to completing technical examinations and examining physical and digital evidence.

He noted that the final results will be announced once the necessary procedures are completed.
