Saudi-Led Coalition: Houthis Are Seeking Fake Victories

Al-Taj News – The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen confirmed that the “Houthi claims of targeting Riyadh today, Saturday, are misleading,” noting that their losses have driven them to seek fake victories.

Al-Maliki attributed the Houthis’ behavior, in statements to Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, to an “attempt to divert attention from the scale of the losses and growing public anger over the militias’ conduct and their ties to external agendas that have brought chaos and destruction to Yemen.”

Earlier on Saturday, the Houthis announced that they had targeted facilities belonging to Saudi Aramco in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, using ballistic missiles and drones.

Asharq Al-Awsat reported that the Houthis lost around 5,000 fighters over the course of a week, while the Yemeni Armed Forces are carrying out a series of air and ground military operations on various fronts attacked by the Houthis.

Spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces Colonel Majed Al-Nazili announced that 257 airstrikes had been carried out targeting Houthi military reinforcements on several fronts, noting that “at least 700 Houthi members” had been neutralized.
