Al-Taj News – Germany lost 0-1 to visiting Greece in the second round of Group B matches in the UEFA Nations League in Augsburg, Germany.
Dimitris Kourbelis scored the visitors’ goal in the 74th minute, securing top spot in the group with six points, ahead of the Netherlands with four points, Germany with one point, and Serbia at the bottom without any points.
Despite almost complete dominance in the first half, Germany managed just one shot on the visitors’ goal.
In the second half, Babis Kountis and Joshua Kimmich tried to find the back of the Greek net, but neither attempt posed much danger to goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis (50 and 53).
Klopp brought on Jonathan Burkardt and Florian Wirtz (65) to bolster the attack, but the visitors responded and threatened the German goal with Fotis Ioannidis’ shot that went close to the right post (68).
