Smotrich Calls for War in the West Bank and Annexation of Areas of Gaza and Lebanon

Al-Taj News – Israeli government Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on Sunday called for launching a war in the occupied West Bank and dismantling the Palestinian Authority, and also called for annexing areas of the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon.

Smotrich said during an interview on a podcast via Yedioth that he believes Israel should “go to war in Judea and Samaria,” referring to the West Bank, and carry out what he described as “what we did in Gaza.”

He added that he believes there is a need to “dismantle the Palestinian Authority.”
