Trump Publishes Map of Hormuz Calling It “Trump Strait,” with Qatar and Bahrain Absent

Al-Taj News – U.S. President Donald Trump published a map of the Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, referring to it as the “Trump Strait.”

The U.S. president posted on his official account on his “Truth Social” platform on Saturday a map of the Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz, referring to it as the “Trump Strait.”

In the map, Trump drew a circle around the Strait of Hormuz, which included the islands located within the strait area, as well as the coasts of Iran and the United Arab Emirates. The map also showed the Gulf states, with the exception of Qatar and Bahrain.

The U.S. president had referred to the Strait of Hormuz as the “Trump Strait” in March during his speech at the Foreign Investment Initiative Summit in the state of Florida.

He told the audience: “They have to open it, they have to open the Trump Strait. I mean the Strait of Hormuz,” adding jokingly: “Sorry, I’m very sorry, what a terrible mistake. The fake media will claim that he said it by mistake. No, I don’t make mistakes. Not very often.”

Later, the U.S. president suggested changing the name of the Strait of Hormuz to the “Trump Strait,” after again saying that the vital waterway had come under the control of the United States of America.
